Leah and John are such a sweet couple. They are so good together. I am so happy that they met, fell in love and got married. He is so good to her. He called me friday night before Valentine's Day to tell me what he got her for Valentine's Day and asked me how he should suprise her with her gift. He is so thoughtful and kind. I love to watch them together they are so cute. Leah has become such a wonderful woman. I really enjoy having such a close relationship with her I love her so much.

Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day was a busy day for our family. We had two big events that afternoon. Beka and Hannah's young women's group had their big fund raiser. It was a Valentine's Dinner and auction. They spent the morning setting up our church gym. It looked really good; the young women are such a hard working group of girls.
That afternoon we had Emily's Baptism. She is such a sweet child. Valentine's Day was the perfect day for her to be baptized.

Groundhog's Day
We have a special tradition in our family. It is groundhog's day. When our children we're younger we wanted to have a special holiday to break up the winter blahs. We chose groundhog's day. We always have them make Happy Groundhog Day Posters. We have saved them all and it's fun to see how their writing and art skills have improved over the years. We watch the movie Groundhog Day with Bill Murray and have some type of food involving "groundhog" usually sausage pizza and a special cake. This year I found the cutest cupcakes we are going to make. To find out more about these adorable edible creations, check out http://bucketideasforgrandmas.blogspot.com/

Pumpkin Poop
Between Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, the holiday season has officially started. This is a time of year busy with baking, shopping, and cute crafts. Here's one of my favorite Halloween crafts: Pumpkin Poop.
The poem goes like this:
I started to carve a pumpkin
with my carving knife and scoop,
But the pumpkin got so scared
He took a little poop!
It looked so cute and funny
just like a candy treat
So I’m sharing it with you now
because you are so sweet!
They make great handouts for Trunk-or-Treat or just for friends. Just print out the poem and then staple it to a cellophane bag of candy corn. They're so cute and super easy.

The Lord Works in Mysterious Ways
Written by Freckles
"Pray Always, Be believing, and all things shall work together for thy good." The Lord has given us a guide to a successful life, but sometimes life just does not seem fair. I know that I cannot see the bigger picture, but sometimes I wonder why some things happen. Over the past two weeks, I have been through so many trials that I can barley cope.
Just last Tuesday, my beautiful blue Lexus ES300 was parked in my driveway, when an elderly woman jumped a barrier wall and totaled it. Afterwards, I felt such an overwhelming gratitude for life. If the accident had been five minutes earlier, I would probably no longer be on this earth.
Today, however, I am once again questioning life's hardships. The five of us -- Mom, Feisty, Tender Heart, and Sassy -- were in the car coming back from cross-country, when our rental car was wrecked. Rear ended by another car, we were in total shock. Why has the Lord put these trails into our life? After a quick prayer, we regained composure. I know that the Lord has a reason for all things. Though our eyes are blinded by the temporal, he has a bigger picture. With faith, we must press forward reguardless of what lies ahead.

Me and My Good Eggs
Hi! Hello! Aloha! Hola! Howdy! Or as we like to say down here in Tennessee, Hey y'all. My name is Melody and I'm blog crazy. The truth is I really just like to read them, but my daughter insisted that I make my own. So she controls the widgets and the html; my only job is to write the entries. Easier said than done. : ) I don't do much besides take care of my five beautiful girls - one of which just got married.
Here they are!
Back row (left to right): Fiesty, the Bride, and Freckles
Front row: Tender Heart and Sassy
